  • Our R&D team is full time on the bench developing formulas for our clients. We strive to not turn people away that are looking for a custom gummy developed so we service clients in a first in first out method. Right now, once all ingredients are on site, we can typically deliver your first batch of samples within three weeks.

  • Our extensive library of bitter blockers and masking agents are carefully combined and examined to deliver the best option for your particular active ingredients.

  • Absolutely! If you want a flavor matched, all we need are samples of your benchmark target to get started.

  • Yes, and we actually prefer it this way. When brands supply their own supplements we can focus on creating a great product for you and less on sourcing. We can assist with sourcing for an additional fee for anything we don’t already have on hand.

  • We can create a completely custom candy mold for you with your logo embossed or debossed, the size, shape, add features that optimize it for demolding and much more.

  • We do not offer candy demolding equipment as we don’t use them ourselves. We aren’t big on having to add another expensive piece of equipment to your arsenal to do something that can be done easily and much more affordably with Endose Primer, our mold priming solution that is applied to the molds before depositing and allows for easy demolding.

  • We purchase bulk lots whenever we can find great deals on preowned gummy manufacturing equipment so we can pass the savings to our customers. If you have something in particular you’re looking for, just send us a message and if any great deals come up, we will be sure to contact you.

Glossary

Gummy Manufacturing Equipment

  • A gummy recipe is the ingredients and amounts required in order to produce gummies. This typically also includes the step-by-step instructions on how to make gummies, also known as an SOP or Standard Operating Procedure.

  • A candy mold is a food safe mold typically made from silicone, rubber, or some plastics like PETG, or polycarbonate. The molds are typically made to have repeated rows of shapes called cavities, that candy is deposited into.

  • Brix refractometers are a common instrument used to measure the sugar content of a solution. Increasing sugar content leads to an increase in the refractive index. By passing light through a sample and measuring the refraction, the amount that the light bends, the sugar content can be measured.

  • A gummy depositor is electromechanical which accurately dispenses the gummy ingredients to form the gummy molds.

  • Carrageenan is an extract from a red seaweed commonly known as Irish Moss. This edible seaweed is native to the British Isles, where it's been used in traditional cooking for hundreds of years. It's also widely used in the food industry, mostly as a thickener and gelling agent. There is a common misconception that carrageenan is bad for you, but any food scientist will tell you that this is not a fact.

  • Translucent, colorless, flavorless food ingredient, commonly derived from collagen taken from animal body parts. This hydrocolloid provides the classic nostalgic texture people have come to expect with a gummy product. More elastic in texture.

  • Guar gum, also called guaran, is a galactomannan polysaccharide extracted from guar beans that has thickening and stabilizing properties useful in food, feed, and industrial applications.

  • Xanthan gum is a popular food additive that’s commonly added to foods as a thickener or stabilizer.

  • Pectin is a fiber found in fruits. It is often used as a thickener in cooking and baking and gummies.

    There are different types of pectins with different properties such as slow setting and fast setting. Pectin based formulas with pectin being the only hydrocolloid present can provide a plant based gelling agent and once it sets, it is non-thermoreversible, meaning it won’t melt in hot temperatures. It offers a clean bite, versus the chew of gelatin.

Gummy Ingredients

  • Platinum cure silicone, also called addition cure silicone, are two-component high tear strength and flexible mold or casting compounds. They are recommended as a mold material for casting polyurethane, epoxy, or polyester resins, wax and a wide range of other casting materials.

  • PETG molds are typically produced using sheets of PETG and a Thermoformer.

  • 3D printed part can be made to produce a master mold, which is kept by the manufacturer to produce a mold repeatedly

Gummy Molds

  • A gummy vitamin is a delivery system for vitamins that may have otherwise been unpleasant tasting, also vitamins in a gummy format for some people is a more enjoyable experience. This space is projected to be a $10 billion dollar industry by 2025.

  • Gelification is defined as the process of turning a substance into a gelatinous form. With this process, liquid substances are converted into solids with the help of a gelling agent. Common gelling agents come from natural sources and include agar-agar, gelatin, Carageenan, gellan gum, pectin and methylcellulose.
